With the announcement of the line-up for the 2013 FrightFest Halloween All-nighter, I thought it was about time there was a comprehensive list dedicated to the UK’s foremost horror film festival on Letterboxd. Whilst several other FrightFest lists already exist on this site, none are anywhere near complete. So what I have attempted here is a truly definitive list of ALL feature films screened at the various FrightFest events from its inception in 2000 to the present day. To achieve this I have added numerous missing titles to the TMDB database, and also provided posters / artwork to all the films which were previously missing them.

WHAT’S COVERED: This list includes all feature films & feature-length documentaries screened at FrightFest events from 2000 – present. These include the main London FrightFest event, Glasgow FrightFest, the Halloween All-nighter, any regional screenings, one-off events, sponsored premieres & special screenings which fall under the FrightFest banner. I have also included the “Sleepy Queue” screenings – these are free screenings to those who queue through the night to get their festival tickets. These screenings began in 2009.
WHAT’S NOT COVERED: I have not included ANY short films (the information about them & availability on this site was so minimal it would’ve taken CSI to unearth them all!), any TV programmes shown, preview reels of incomplete films, trailers, or similar promo material.
THE ORDER OF FILMS LISTED: The order of films listed is as close to chronological as I could decipher, starting with the very first FrightFest in 2000 and moving towards the present day. Other FrightFest events (Glasgow / Halloween / One-offs) are slotted in according to their timing in their respective calendar year. For example from 2006 onwards starting with Glasgow (usually February), the main London FrightFest (August), the All-nighter (October) & any extra events slotted in accordingly. With the advent of the Discovery Screen(s) in 2009, I have listed films there on a daily basis (i.e. Main Screen / Discovery Screen / Re-Discovery Screen), a day at a time, in the order they were shown.
THE SOURCE: The main source for my research was FrightFest’s Wikipedia page HERE although I found this to be far from completely accurate, listing some films that were never shown, and omitting some that were, whilst scheduling order is often all over the place. I therefore cross-referenced this against any programmes I had to hand & any relevant online sources, as well as by generally pestering people on Twitter for information.
So as far as I’m aware this is now the only truly definitive FrightFest list on Letterboxd (& possibly online as a whole?)……unless of course you know different? In other words, if you spot any discrepancies or omissions DO please let me know, as I want to keep this list as a regularly updated, accurate and detailed reference resource as is possible.
