Evan Makarov’s review published on Letterboxd:
Stalker is a Soviet sci-fi drama and it’s about a man guiding two men to The Zone that has a room capable of fulfilling wishes. This movie might just be a masterpiece. The cinematography, although has room for improvement, is so hypnotizing that I can’t imagine it in any other way. The story is very slow and it’s perfect. It lets your eyes soak in the moments. A story this simple is nearly three hours long and it is told brilliantly through visuals. The dialogue is also brilliant. The characters are great. To avoid giving anything away, I’m going to not say anything else about this film. I suggest and encourage everyone to watch it. You won’t regret it.
