Wow this was one of the most fun movies I’ve seen in a while. What a cast! Travolta throwing a hundo.
Close to a perfect watch. Wow.
I’m giving it five stars. I’m not sure if I want to give it five stars or I feel like I’m supposed to give it five stars, but it deserves it. Bernstein was amazing and the first hour fifteen was a real heater.
No matter how you feel about this movie, it is the Great American Novel, plain and simple. If you disagree, feel free to @ me. I welcome it.
Pretty fantastic watch here. The cast was absolutely amazing—a ton you recognize from their other work, but they’re worthy not just because you’ve seen em before. Every performance (except maybe Marty Sheen doin some weird prosthetic work) was incredible.
Also a vital watch historically and as a political/moral/social gut check. Yeah maybe Sorkin made his story (Chicago 7) easier for the whites to watch, but this is so supremely more important. Not a question that this movie should be vying for all the awards this year, and I hope it makes everybody watch it.
Also, oscars won’t do it but lakeith and Kaaluya should both win.
