Jonny’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Mitchell's vs. The Machines for the most part does a really good job breaking away from a mechanical presentation. It has family themes that are hardwired for the heart, circuit breaking animation, and an overcharged energy.
It's story may be a bit too prototypical for its own good at times allowing viewers to calculate it's direction with limited buffering. The humor as well can be quite hit or miss and may cause some viewers to flirt with uninstalling. Still the sheer energy exuding from the film reiterates why the new Sony Pictures Animation's style is a welcome update to the genre.
Also Beck Bennett.
And they played Sigur Rós
