Yet another rewatch of this, cos it was on ITV tonight. A previous review can be found here. I will add that both Mel Gibson's performance and accent is a bit off at times, but his chemistry with Danny Glover covers any flaws. The score doesn't get the praise it deserves does it, so let's mention that. I love how Michael Kamen effectively viewed the film's story - a cop investigating the death of a young woman - as a distant relation to the seminal 1985 BBC drama series Edge of Darkness, which he'd worked on with Eric Clapton. This explains why he roped Clapton in to perform the guitar part on Riggs' theme.
