What a movie! The fact that it was without dialog, was something I was a bit sceptical about at first. But it really hit an emotional snare.
It was a beautiful story with a touch of quirkiness like most of the (co-)produced Ghibli movies.
Certainly a movie I would recommend watching at least once.
It was so easy to relate to the story that's been told. Which was very moving for me. The movie shows a family falling apart after their daughter/sisters murder. Such a tragedy.
And the purgatory part of the movie made it feel less heavy and more hopeful. Even though it's a lot of fantasy & make belief.
