Paterson ★★★★★

This year in Cannes, festival goers were lucky to see not one, but two films directed by American independent cinema darling Jim Jarmusch. Paterson too focuses on an artist, albeit a very different one – a unknown poet – and through the representation of his daily life, the film paints a realistic, down-to-earth yet still infinitely romantic picture of the artful life.
