I wanted to be friends with Sarah Jessica Parker from the moment I saw her in Square Pegs. The next step in our friendship would have been me as the Helen Hunt character in this wonderful film. This was the teen girl experience I wished I was living. Alas, it wasn't to be. I had to settle for watching stuff like this way too many times.

My limited Bollywood experience is very much centered in the 1990s and 2000s. I definitely need to expand beyond that narrow band.
This one was on one of those Top 100 Bollywoods list and I can see why. The script is not a revelation, but the performances are fun. I certainly was never bored.
And the songs are almost all a delight. I am a huge sucker for a catchy musical and this one did not disappoint. I might revisit it and the rating could only go up.
I don't understand. Does everyone just see what the conventional wisdom is and then watch the movie with those expectations? "Oh, I hear Elektra sucks, therefore I will watch a sucky movie and rate it a 1."
Maybe I am just so completely out of touch with what is considered "quality"? I had a lot of fun with this movie.
Jennifer Garner is always the best kind of dream woman and her Elektra kicks some serious ass. The villains had some some cool powers. The fights were fun. It was a badass mystical ninja flick.
