A bland, run of the mill romantic comedy. The movie should have let Isla Fisher loose and improved the sense of humor, but she is held back and Jason Biggs drags this one down. Not the worst romcom, but not much fun, either.
This one is filled with ludicrous set pieces that defy all reason, campy performances, and lame attempts at emotional beats. In other words, I had a lot of fun with The Hurricane Heist. Melissa Bolona is so vacant in her role, I thought she was a Real Doll for most of the movie. Big, dumb, and fun.
This was a fun throwback to the Cannon days, but Eli Roth fails to go for broke and keeps things reeled in. The dark humor was appreciated and the last half is a fun ride, but I wanted it to be a total exploitation piece and that isn't the case.
