    Road House

    Great one liners.
    Great haircuts.
    A blueprint for guilty pleasures.

Looks absolutely stunning. Gareth Edwards ist definitely one of the most interesting directors right now.
He just need better scripts, then anything is possible.

  • Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

Expected nothing, got pleasantly surprised. Very entertaining, fun and good chemistry. A heist and adventure movie, feels a bit like John Carter (which I also like). Not outstanding, but I would recommend it anytime for some solid light fun.

  • Thor: Love and Thunder

    Thor: Love and Thunder

Sadly a dissapointment that perfectly fits in the range of messy Marvel movies after„ Endgame“. No structure, not much fun.

  • Nope

I am still on the fence with Jordan Peele. I really want to love his movies, but always ends up just liking them. Can't really say what it is that's missing. I would recommend all of his films though.
But Nope was just entertaining, no real scares here (except for the great scene in the barn). But maybe his films will grow on me.

  • Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

    Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

Not as hilarious as I expecteded it to be, but still entertaining and sometimes a bit bonkers. Daniel Ratcliffe shines as Al, some fun cameos. Solid entertainment.

  • Do Revenge

    Do Revenge

Every generation gets the movies they deserve. Our generation had Spielberg, this one gets „a Netflix film“.

Every character is highly unlikeable or straight up disgusting. It‘s mainly about 16yr olds trying to destroy each other, dressing like clowns and avoiding real joy.

What an instaworld to live in.

  • Nightmare Alley

    Nightmare Alley

Great set design and overall mood. Enjoyed this more than Shape of Water.

  • Last Night in Soho

    Last Night in Soho

It's like everyone says: Great first half, but then it's a bit downhill and unsatisfying in the end. Not scary at all. Great Soundtrack though.

  • Titane

There might have been times I would have enjoyed this film more, but nowadays I don't wanna be punished for watching a movie.
Yes it's interesting and visually great, but it was no fun watching. I feel the same with Gaspar Noe movies, maybe these films are just not my thing.

  • Idiocracy

Probably my favorite documentary. Such a precise prediction of the future.

  • Jojo Rabbit

    Jojo Rabbit

I became a big admirer of Waititi's work. „What we do in the shadows“ and „Wilder people“ are great fun movies and „Thor: Ragnarok“ is one of my favorite marvel movies. And although „JoJo Rabbit“ is also an entertaining, great looking movie I feel a little dissapointed. I wanted it to be much sharper and more critical (this coming from a german). Waititi played this theme a bit too safe and careful, though it's just a comedy but not really a satire. Still worth watching.
