A blatant rip-off of The Descent minus the ingenious technical craft, solid writing and brilliant acting. It shamelessly steals multiple scenes and lines from Neil Marshall’s film, and then has the audacity to not even cover them up with a hint of imagination or personal flair. It’s one thing to be inspired by someone else’s idea, but it’s a whole other ball game to make a carbon-copy of it and then also fail to lead an audience anywhere remotely interesting. Lots of in-your-face screaming and ceilings caving in does not qualify as a good horror movie.
