Really neat to see the DNA of the uncomfortable comedy of Toni Erdmann on display here. For a student film this is pretty fantastic, and contained plenty of moments that made me want to crawl out of my skin. I’m quickly learning Maren Ade knows how to make a damn great party scene.

While I got more enjoyment out of God's Not Dead, Do You Believe? manages to be as entertaining and horrifically offensive as it's predecessor. A mind numbingly awful film that deliver laughs upon laughs through it's hand fisted. propaganda-esque dialogue and hilariously cliched and obnoxious characters. This is a film that requires all black people to be gangsters, all atheists to be converted or left miserable, inane car wrecks, and diseases to magically be cured by faith. It's pandering, cliched,…
