Cary, let's face it: you were ready for a love affair, but not for love.
I'm usually not a big fan of melodramatic love stories, but All That Heaven Allows is something I really dig. It is really cozy and warm, and the love story was really interesting, dealing with social class barriers and the difficulties of relationships in the 50's. The cinematography was also really beautiful to look at, this had mesmerizing colors and, quoting the reason why I got this movie, it is the perfect film for changing seasons.
Maybe romance is not dead.
