beautiful, hypnotic, and one of the most passionate stories I've ever seen put to film. everything about this movie is expertly crafted. from the way it's set up to the way it concludes, the handmaiden might join my top 5 or 6 films of all time. its that good. it's brutal but beautiful. a true future classic.
