The movie of course is good even though godard is like a hundred times smarter than me. gonna watch his filmography anyway, though it stings to not be able to callously dismiss any part of his oeuvre on this website

Thinking about a cursed outcome where Banderas actually gets nominated for his exquisitely controlled performance in this but loses to Joaquin Phoenix’s Gary Glitter dance

David Lynch (big brain): the atom bomb was the original sin
Stanley Kubrick (galaxy brain): using tools was the original sin

and yeah this is in a class by itself, if you haven’t seen it in theaters you haven’t seen it, and I would be shocked if an expansive film of ideas hit the big screen ever again
