Train to Busan 2016
Certainly filled with tension with some great sequences of action, however, I find Train to Busan lacking its own identity among other zombie films of its kind. Not to mention that it doesn't pace its themes and character development very well, often rushing through them for more emphasis on its set-pieces.

After finishing my PTA marathon during Summer 2021, I always felt tempted to revisit his works since there's something special about his work. Especially after watching Licorice Pizza in theaters which blew me away. If I were asked my favorite film of his, it would either be There Will Be Blood, or The Master. In My Skin 2002
A new French extremity that is surprisingly lowkey in tone despite its subject material. It's kind of refreshing to see a film in a movement that focuses on maximalism and being aggressively in your face with its filmmaking or subject. Surprisingly, this is the second time I've watched a female-directed film explore cannibalism in some compacity; Julia Ducournau explored this much more aggressively in her film Raw.
