I don't know what motivated them to do it, but many thanks to my local movie theatre who decided to do a special showing of this movie.
When it came out in 1999, I was too young to really care about movies, let alone go to them on my own. So I never got to experience The Matrix on the big screen. I've seen it a bunch of times since then, but, in Neo's own words, "Wow". Seeing it on the silver screen was incredible. Not only am I old enough to go the movies on my own now (it's been a while, actually), I can also appreciate all that is beyond the cool-looking aspects of the movie. It's so cool to look at, that's undeniable, but it's also just great all-around. Depressing, really, when you stop and really think about it, but great.
I loved it.
