A film about profits and prophets

At last! Dune gets a visionary director who perfectly captures the themes of the book. Impeccably cast and with one subtle gender swap, this is world building of the highest order. Score, visuals and especially the soundscape are first class, and Chalomet makes a surprisingly convincing Paul.

However, this is only Part 1, covering the first half of the book. Unlike It Chapter 1 it is not a complete story. Like Ralph Bakshi’s animated Lord of the Rings it covers barely half of the book. We can only hope that Part 2 is commissioned.
