  i had sort of scoffed at the notion that this was a film adults should be concerning themselves with too much, given that it’s based on a dang TOY whose target demographic is 3 to 12 year olds. but turns out i was very wrong to assume it would be for children or even families at all: in its cultural references, politics, humor this strikes me as a film clearly by and for (alleged) grown ups. not that i think…
