B-Movie goodness at A-Grade quality filmmaking. Thought-provoking and terrifying in equal measure thanks to Frank Darabont's intelligent direction and wonderful ensemble cast - especially Marcia Gay Harden stealing every single scene she's in and for being scarier than the actual monsters.

It won't be to everyone's taste but it's definitely worth seeking out for that brave and gut-wrenching ending.
