I didn’t get as much out of this movie as the rest of the X-Men franchise. Some of the stunts seemed overly simple. I could not get engrossed in the story. I just didn’t feel the build-up of conflict as I did is the others. Still fun to watch the swish, bang, pow of things. It felt very much like an American comic. I guess I wanted more of a Manga structure.
Nobody likes to see one of their favorite storylines wrap up. Part of you wants to have the ending open-ended so that the imagination can wander on the possibilities. But I'm all for a story being told and becoming canon. I've been reading several of the comics that have dealt with the history of the Sith. So I could see the credibility of some of the story where others might scoff. But, hey, it's all a grand and glorious space opera. I'm glad I got to see it with a friend on opening night.
