I just rewatched "Kung Fu Panda", and I loved it more than ever!
I have been a big fan of this movie since I first watched it in theaters as a 6-year old, but I didn't think I would love it THIS much this time around. It's nearly perfect for me, with only a few jokes that don't land, and a few elements being better in the sequel. Still, I can't not give it 5 stars. It's just so entertaining and emotional, as well as funny. The story is compelling, the animation is beautiful, the characters are lovable, the action is spectacular, the score is fantastic, the villain is great, the world is immersive, and the themes about identity, perseverance and more are incredibly powerful. The movie is filled with wisdom too, in the form of Oogway's quotes. Po is one of my all-time favorite characters, and I love the journeys he goes through in all three movies!
Overall, it's a strong 9.5/10 to me, and one of my favorite movies of all time!
