    Tenet

    ★★★★

With Tenet, Nolan may not have made a companion masterpiece to his previous film Dunkirk — which remains his best  — but he finds his first star in John David Washington that can balance out the Nolan-y seriousness with genuine humor and along with equally fresh Robert Pattinson, it allows Tenet to breathe unlike his other films.

Dunkirk was perfect because it was the distillation of everything Nolan does perfectly into a sub-two hour movie. Tenet could’ve been thinner, but…

    Ready or Not

    ★★★½

'Ready or Not' is what a B-horror movie should be; not being able to cast the people you want to cast -- so you cast their double instead and you're left with laughs, thrills, and blood.

    Good stuff.

This is BICYCLE THIEVES compared to SUICIDE SQUAD. Who doesn’t value a perfect breakfast sandwich?

    The Invisible Man

    ★★★★

Leigh Whannell continues to gravitate away from being just a 'reliable' filmmaker into being one of the more underrated filmmakers / writers in the past decade.

Not unlike 'Upgrade', 'The Invisible Man' is heavily influenced by 80s Carpenter and James Cameron.

Performances all around are terrific, namely Moss, who has to do one of the hardest things a person can do -- fight being gashlighted in the most terrifying way.

Thrilling action sequences; blended together with genuine terror and a timely message make this film not only worth watching -- but patiently await to see what Whannell gives us next.
