Instant messaging really ruined our chance for missed connections that end in tragedy uh...

Anyway, what a phenomenal musical. Yes it's long, but it's superbly choreographed and endlessly enjoyable with its glossy yet vintage photography. A lot of it reminded me of La La Land, especially the first part with epic dance sequences in the streets and group numbers to make your head spin... In this case though what drives the film is actually the plot, which makes it a…

    Mulholland Drive

I am a simple woman. I hear Mulholland Drive is back in theaters with a shining new 4K restoration and I run, frantically.

You know what, this was possibly better than I remembered. And that doesn't happen often, both because I don't usually rewatch movies and because any conventional narrative is never as effective the second time around. Boy is this not the case! This movie is so rich and full of contradictions, it's fun and it's heartbreaking, reckless and…

A two hour epic viking tale with a huge budget that feels like a four hour epic viking tale with a huge budget.

There is no doubt, The Northman is a grandiose, brutal, sensational film. Most of all I loved the sound design, it truly elevates every scene and stands at the core of the film's gloomy folktale glory. White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch

Killing time at the airport never felt so unsatisfying.

This actually reminded me a lot of the flurry of #freebritney documentaries that emerged a couple of months ago. This doc is also very relevant and current, well researched, filled with interviews providing inside perspectives into the practices of A&F, yet manages to be completely insubstantial and uninspiring, it adds zero depth to the social discourse around this case. Honestly, who thought this would be a good contribution to society and/or the netflix catalogue? This whole thing could have been a Vox article.

Ok so Maggie Smith in suits constantly bickering with Bette Davis, Angela Lansbury as a perennially drunk romance writer obsessed with sex, Mia Farrow as mostly herself but with a british accent. I mean even without Agatha's genius... Absolute goals
