I wasn't sure how this would hold up since I haven't seen it since 2015/16, but it's still pretty good! Nice and lean, just drops you into the story and doesn't waste much time. The score's still a highlight, and I know she's been in some stuff since but Maika Monroe needs another big role like this.
This is such a perfect pairing between subject and artist, nobody does music like Haynes. The Moe and Jonathan Richman talking heads are so heartwarming. Very fun to watch this right in the middle of watching Mad Men for the first time, two divergent roads going through the same place. God the Velvet Underground rules.
