No attempt really at tension or scares this time around (except a couple of effective jump scares), and more of a straight up slasher film. I liked this a lot. The killers are more over-the-top, they pretty much just try to kill their prey rather than scare them, there's more blood, a cool soundtrack, and it's just all round more of a fun time than the last one (not that the first was trying to be fun). It kind of felt like an extremely localized The Purge film actually. Or maybe it's just the masks.
