Horror Hunt #26 (August 2020) Day [5] Watch a movie released the year you graduated from high school.

To be honest, I fell asleep a couple of times, briefly, throughout this movie. So maybe I'm not being fair but 1. i was really tired, 2. This movie wasn't keeping my interest anyway. I was thinking this could be ok if it was remade with today's cg rather than effects made at the worst possible time for this type of movie,…

Horror Hunt #26 (August 2020) Day [4] Judge a Book. Don't watch a trailer, don't read the synopsis. Watch a horror movie you know nothing about, based solely on your liking of the poster/cover art.

A decent found footage movie with "kids" that are more likable than the average FF people, but it really lost me once all the weird possession and conspiracy stuff started to take hold. I'm a simple man, and I want a simple FF movie about…

Horror Hunt #25 (July 2020) Day 02: (2) I'll probably always use this as my second clue. Watch the lowest rated horror film in your watchlist.

I'm not 100% sure what this is supposed to be, but if you're watching it expecting a Japanese Jaws rip off, then you're going to probably be disappointed. But somehow I enjoyed it. Maybe I'm just a perv who likes cute girls in bikinis? Maybe. But I think a part of it, once I…

  • Deep Blue Sea 3

    Deep Blue Sea 3

    ★★★

I was really enjoying this. I was shocked how much better it was on all levels than part 2. I liked the characters. The location was hella kewl(!!!), the set up was fun and there were so many great underwater scenes. Lovely footage of fish and sharks and morays, swimming alongside humans. Even when the "evil" sharks showed up the was fun. Even when the evil humans showed up...we didn't know they were evil, but yes, we knew. This was…

Horror Hunt #25 (July 2020) Day (18) Watch a movie featuring a witch or warlock.

I do enjoy a good "person moves to a new town, the people seem friendly, but there seems to be something dark bubbling underneath the surface...but we could be wrong because our lead just had a nervous breakdown, so she could be all crazy" type of movie. Of course I think we can assume with this that there just might be some witches in the…

Horror Hunt #26 (August 2020) Day [2] Watch a horror movie written or directed by a person of color.

This really does feel like a pilot episode of a TV series but in a way doesn't quite do the job of introducing most of the characters. There's a lot of the main character Misa, not doing anything, not knowing what to do, finally figuring out what to do, and then learning how to do it. When we finally get to…

Horror Hunt #26 (August 2020) Day [1] Watch the horror movie on your watchlist with the earliest release date.

To be honest with you guys, I'd much prefer the sfx used in this movie and the make up, over any modern cg stuff. This just moves in a more realistic but off putting way that makes it so much creepier.

The devil with his tongue constantly flicking? a little mechanical diorama of demons torturing humans? A woman giving birth to…

  • A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish

    A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish

    ★★½

O.k. I at first thought it was dumb that the two leads couldn't recognize each other in their Santa/Elf costumes, I mean especially the elf, but then I realized her friend was played by Isabella Gomez and I totally didn't recognize her until she was in her street clothes and not dressed like an elf....so this movie checks out.

Horror Hunt #25 (July 2020) Day (25) Watch a horror film made in Australia.

I could've enjoyed a movie of Stacey Keach just driving around the Australian Outback in his truck, with his pet dingo, and his adventures meeting interesting people....and spouting quotes. But this movie gives us a serial killer and Jamie Lee Curtis as well. So obviously it's a very happy movie for me!

Horror Hunt #25 (July 2020) Day (11) REWATCH: I find that sometimes a rewatch of a movie can change everything. Watch a horror movie that you rated 2.5 stars or less but feel like you may have rated too harshly.

    Watched Director's Cut

So as the movie was going along, I was really enjoying it. It's pretty off the wall, it's a loose remake of the original, Matthew McConaughey seemed to be having a blast, and the humour was working,…

Horror Hunt #25 (July 2020) Day (9) What year did your ninth birthday take place? Watch a horror film from that year.

The main young Priest was completely useless. But I guess what can you expect from a dude who gets that much paint on his glasses while painting a house?? And somehow he's able to just wipe the paint off that easily? I don't think so! At the very least he'd have an annoying smudge on his glasses until…

  • The Creeping Flesh

    The Creeping Flesh

    ★★★

There's a lot of stuff going on in this movie. Not a lot of creeping flesh though. There's some creeping (lecherous/rapey dudes) and a decent amount of flesh (cleavage) but not as much actual creeping flesh. It would be disappointing but, like I said, there's a whole bunch of other things happening. And eventually we get to the CREEPING FLESH!!!!!! There's one scene with this giant figure walking slowly up the stairs after Peter Cushing which was creepy as all get out! ....and then the movie ended like a Twilight Zone episode.
