    This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

    Less of a movie and more of a highlight reel of cool kills(and some old people battling their past demon(s))... Which is probably the best case scenario when watching the twelfth Halloween.

    Jim cummings is potentially the best part of this, and that's not a slide, the man is just a marvel. I personally loved the first flashback sequence.

    In an attempt to build tension, the film continues to intercut between the hospital and the Meyers house, but never delivers…

    Little rewatch before seeing Halloween Kills. Maybe a few stand out moments, but the rest of the movie feels by the numbers or fan service. Carpenter always holding it down with his iconic scores though - this would probably be 2.5 if this didn't slap.

    Entertaining for the most part.

    It felt like the stakes were a little too low and I never got a chance to meet the characters. I found myself laughing quite a bit, but sometimes it was at the filmmaking/editing choices.

    I'm still unsure of what the Jimmy Neutron brain blast moment was all about.

    The sexual and seductive moments almost push the film into an interesting territory, but are quickly obscured by the bland 'driving' sequences.
