    The Lad Goodbye

I'm posting this a week late, but I can't stop thinking about it...

The Lad Goodbye is a neo-noir adventure, fueled by weed and homage, traveling though our protagonist's world via bike and a half baked memory. Exploring the ideas of friendship, love, and all of the things that get in the way.

I can't wait to get some friends together and watch it again!

A great film made by great people.

You can check out the film here!

Be sure to watch the 10 minute prequel short film youtu.be/WiDK3CfdJqc

Jonah Hill steals the show for me.

This movie has an absurd color grade, and that's pretty rad!

I love how D. Cronenberg presents his ideas through the horror, especially the physical body. It's something we can all understand without language. He's also great at presenting the ideas without trying to convince you one way or the other.

My main takeaway from the film was the concern of the vessel(s), the human form and it's evolving nature. Almost the ship of Theseus scenario. Should we follow nature or nurture/science, and how do we make the distinctions? Can we…

Shout out to The Ordinary for being the best skincare in the game and getting at least 24 frames of screen time.

The score was pretty good, and you know I'm a sucker for body horror. Performances were pretty great too. However, this is not something that I would care to revisit, I think I got as much possible off of the one viewing.

There are a few interesting ideas to pick apart and analyze, but everything else seems to live on the surface level :(

A good movie to bring up at dinner and stir the pot.

A guy tries to convince the English girl to see Blow Up, saying it's and London/English movie. She's a photographer... Tell her it's about a photographer!! Rookie mistake man.
