“One day, you look in the mirror and the light in your eye is gone. Suddenly, it hits you.. How much youth did you waste.. chasing something that was never yours?”

    That was horrifying.
This was extremely eery, the ambiance and tone it goes for is like what I imagine sensory deprivation must feel like. It held my focus like very few “horror” movies ever has. It’s strangely seductive too, and the coldness of the characters and the almost realistic…

“Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook, or tie down its tongue with a rope? Will it keep begging you for mercy? Will it speak to you with gentle words? Nothing on Earth is its equal. It is king over all that are proud.”

    A little history lesson:
After the Black Plague most European countries slowly headed away from the totalitarian rule of Feudalism, there simply was not enough people to work the land anymore, and many had fled the…

The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart

    ★★★½

“When you become famous, you think people will love you forever. That’s not true.”

🪩 Always liked their music and the influence they’ve had.. Still these documentaries always end up being fairly interesting and nothing more, always think the presentation is rather boring.. Learned a lot for sure! But at the end of the day I just don’t care enough about the group.🕺

    Overall,
Not bad, if you’re really into the Bee Gees you gonna love this! Worth a watch, very educational!

    “Jesus Christ, that’s Jason Bourne!”

Would’ve never rewatched this if it wasn’t for cable. Never thought I’d say this but getting cable wasn’t a half bad decision - I LOVE COMMERCIALS!! Watching Jason Bourne kick ass with the most sporadic editing of all time, eating ice cream, while all my friends are out getting shitfaced, having unprotected sex and enjoying life. Greatest decision of my life.

    ★★

    Nominated for:
    Best Documentary Subject

This doc summarized: Some people have homes, some people are homeless, homeless = poor and dirty and so many homeless in USA - not good! 😡 - here’s footage of homeless people for proof. We at multi-billion dollar corporation not out-of-touch we promise.

They’re just pointing out an issue. And oh my god the interviews 😫 they’re presenting it like we’ve never heard about homelessness before. Maybe contribute something new? Present a possible solution? Teach us something! You know since you’re nominated for a fucking Oscar and all.

“Bad luck either makes a man or destroys him. Are you gonna let it destroy you? Depending how you take it, bad luck can be a big break.”

This man just don’t ever miss does he..
This is one of the most sweatiest and greasiest movies ever! A tense, almost nightmarish experience! An amazing noir with clear inspiration from the earlier American classics. Toshiro Mifune is.. as always.. great.

Never boring, and always entertaining - but I felt the runtime…
