• Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle

    Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle

Not bad.. not great.. somethings I liked.. but overall a pretty mundane and forgettable movie

At least it tries to do something different.. Which honestly kinda worked.. to some extent.

Still, I felt nothing afterwards, watching movies like this, kinda, feels like eating at McDonald’s.. It’s not Amazing! And sometimes it tastes pretty shit.. but other times it’s not too bad either.

Haven’t been very active lately, I’m moving into a new house.

“I’m not doing this because you commanded me to. I'm doing it- because I feel sorry for you.”

Just pure vibes, could watch these animated Wes Anderson Movies on an continuous loop for a week honestly, and goddamn this movie is pure art, it’s probably his prettiest movie.. Also, Walter White is one top tier voice actor!

I’m definitely a Wes Anderson shill.. he could release a movie that’s just one long take of his asshole and I’d praise it for the symmetry

It’s ok.. not much to say really 🤷🏻

  • I Wish I Knew

    I Wish I Knew

Kinda interesting, but also not really..
In one away I think it paints an intriguing portrait of Shanghai and it’s society through time.. It’s shot really well, I haven’t watched much from Jia Zhangke.. and it feels like I’m missing something, idk.. the stories didn’t captivate me, it also, kinda, makes Shanghai look like a shit-hole not gonna lie..

Gave me very little tbh.. I’m not sure what to feel or think.

“Listen, I came here to do some business, not shoot the breeze. If you want to expound your personal philosophies, write another book.”

    Satanic Neo-Noir?
Actually really digged the plot! Great cast. Not
much else I’m ecstatic over, it’s well made and the direction is fine, it’s Roman Polanski, I except greatness.. And sure the story and presentation is a little stiff but challenges your perception on history and religion a little (which I kinda liked).

    It did irritate me…

“She said she was terrified of being alone. Terrified of living without him. That when she left, she'd be like Bambi on the ice. And that was precisely why she had to do it. Aksel mumbled soothing words she didn't hear. She was thinking about how, at the age of 30, she'd just compared herself to Bambi.”

I gotta be honest with myself.. This is actually one of my favorite movies.. I think about this movie all the time.

The realest romance ever! I can’t really describe how much I relate to the story either, this one hits home, literally!

Definitely seen this before. Charlie Chaplin is exceptional as always but you can see he haven’t perfected his craft, yet.

    Also the cat was cute.

    “Yes, Governor! BRING ME AMERICA!!”

    Ayo! What is this?
    What an ambivalent movie experience!
On one hand it’s absurdly bad: the acting is atrocious, the dialogue is either pure nonsense or badly written exposition, overall the plot is rather stupid and some scenes drags like motherfucker... And on the other hand it’s vibrant, colourful - the cinematography was amazing and the world-building, while it makes no sense, was really intriguing, the costumes and art design was so imaginative and vibrant.…

“Just like a dream experience, whatever things I enjoy will become a memory. Whatever is past will not be seen again.”

When it comes to movies about Tibet and the Dalai Lama, this is probably the best I’ve seen so far.. It’s an alright movie, nothing spectacular, but it really shows the range Martin Scorsese has. Again just as I had certain issues with Silence (2016) with its overall message, I have the same regarding this, but I think Silence is…

“My life has become too painful and I keep asking myself, what am I doing to get out of where I am? what am I doing with my life? it took me long to realize that it's love that distinguishes man from stones, trees, rain, and that we can lose our love, and that love grows through loving, yes, I have been so completely lost, so truly lost."

Ah yes.. depression, I remember that.

    The Haunted Castle

How do you waste such an amazing poster on such a boring ass movie..
So this showed up on my YouTube feed last night, so I watched it.. and after an hour of boredom, I fell asleep with the television still going.. later being woken up by said TV with Alexander Nevsky playing.. a movie I actually want to watch haha.

I honestly can’t remember much, it was a boring and dated who’dunnit mystery that left me with absolutely…
