Let me first start off by saying that there is still quite a few things to admire about First Cow. The performances from the two main leads are pretty solid and make for very authentic portrayals of people as opposed to characters. Pretty underwhelming in how its premise is executed tbh. The story, writing, and tone just came off as uneven and clunky most of the time. However, I would’ve given this film a lower score if it weren’t for Christian Bale’s legendary performance in this film.
Aside from that though, don’t understand what all the hype is all about with this one :(
