    Watership Down

Just barely surpasses Fantasia as my favorite animated film ever. What a breathtaking piece of storytelling!

Edit 02/22/2021: Now my 2nd favorite animated film.

    Edit 03/14/21: not anymore...

Edit 04/21/21: why am i so indecisive...

  • Cinema Paradiso

    Cinema Paradiso

I’m literally at a loss of words. This film is a must-watch for those who are infatuated over cinema and storytelling in general.

That ending had me sobbing 😭

  • Citizen Kane

    Citizen Kane

Despite liking this film when i first saw it, it definitely fares better now that i’m older. Truly a grandaddy in the realm of filmmaking, and i’m even more excited to watch Mank on Netflix tomorrow.

  • Whiplash

    100% my tempo

Shoutouts to Emyr for making the experience of rewatching this film all the more awesome 😎

  • Alien

Because what else do you watch the day before Thanksgiving?

  • Casablanca

This is my 4th time watching this film and it is still just as masterful as i remember it to be. A rare piece of cinema that we barely get nowadays.

  • Eyes Wide Shut

    Eyes Wide Shut

Just like how i think Burn After Reading is the most underrated Coen Brothers film, i think Eyes Wide Shut is Stanley Kubrick’s most underrated film. It manages to be just as thought-provoking and as thematically layered as some of his other finest works (Barry Lyndon, 2001, etc.), as well as provide a lot to think about along with being just an all-around well-made film.

  • Barry Lyndon

    Barry Lyndon

I could’ve watched 3 more hours of this visually stunning, thematically complex, and emotionally impactful work of art.

  • Snowpiercer

Bong Joon Ho’s Willy Wonka remake was pretty damn great 👍🏻

  • Mulholland Drive

    Mulholland Drive

A David Lynch film that surpasses both The Elephant Man AND The Straight Story??? 2020 just keeps getting crazier.

  • 8½

Don’t have much to say here except one word: masterpiece.

  • Chinatown

One of the finest films ever in terms of writing. Every other aspect of the film is great, but for me, it is the script that makes this film stand the test of time.
