Of all the animated Disney movies, this was probably my favorite growing up. When you see everyone’s true form and somehow Chip is the son of Mrs. Potts — seemingly defying science.

The Holdovers 2023
A little slow out the gate, but after about 20 minutes I felt right at home. Reminded me of when I used to go to a pub around the holidays with just one friend, and no one really around - cozy and poignant.

Like all of Paul Thomas Anderson’s work, it’s hard for me to know exactly how I rate something after the initial viewing. Phantom Thread, There Will Be Blood and Inherent Vice are films that I knew I enjoyed when I first saw them, but my love and appreciation totally grew in subsequent viewings.
