The Favourite is a film that I really had no hype or even expected to like that much. I loved The Killing of a Sacred Deer even though it's still the weirdest movie I've ever seen, but I don't know why I was just not excited for this (maybe it's because I hate the 18th century, who knows?). However this turned out to be such an engaging and suspenseful movie. Yorgos has such an interesting way of writing characters and story. His style is filled with dark humor and surrealism, but it works every time. The characters are all amazing. The whole movie is basically two characters plotting against each other, but it's so thrilling and Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz are so good. They have so much chemistry together and these are by far their best performances. Olivia Colman and Nicholas Hoult as well.
I have nothing else to say, but this felt like an episode of The Office and I'm gonna bring that up every time I talk about this movie.
