The majority of movies made after 2000 are mediocre.
It’s not that tough being a film cricket.
This is a well made movie and deserves all its wonderful critical response. I just don’t see a reason why this “MUST be seen in theaters.” The movie is 3 hours long and is mostly talking heads. I just think they marketed this to Nolan-heads that loved his Batman movies and wanted to get their butts in theater seats. I guess playing up the bomb part of the movie is better than saying “it’s a biopic”. Great movie though.
I was really excited to see the trailer for this movie because it was a sci-fi movie that was from an overly burdened franchise (ie Star Wars, LotR, or anything from Marvel).
I hope this starts a new trend of studios taking a risk at making big budget sci-fi/adventure movies that doesn’t have a recognizable name behind it.
The movie isn’t perfect but it is enjoyable enough to be worthy of it’s over 2 hour run time. I was hoping for something a little less serious and more fun and character driven but I still enjoyed my time with it.
Only movie I’ve seen where the dog seems to have a personal vendetta toward the villains.
