The Strange Ones ★★★★

Who's the liar? A young man and a boy break down on the side of the road, and stop at a nearby hotel. Are they brothers, as the older of the two claims? Or is something much darker going on, as the younger one confesses to the hotel clerk? THE STRANGE ONES never answers our questions, leaving us with an unsettled air of mystery. The film's final moments gives clues, but only the fleeting clues of a passerby, leaving us with little to no tangible information.

Context is everything. Witnesses don't have the full story. Who are we to believe? Can we even believe our own eyes? There's a lot going on in these 15 minutes. A sharp and haunting short film.
