I’m probably the biggest Beatles fan you will ever meet in your life. So imagine my excitement upon learning Richard Curtis (one of my favourite writers) and Lily James (my celebrity crush and current favourite actress) are stapled to a Beatle-orientated film... Unfortunately, the movie itself was incredibly disappointing.
To say I was excited for Jordan Peele’s ‘Us’ is truly an understatement. Horror, when delivered and executed correctly and with care, is my favourite Genre.
‘Us’ was... well, in my opinion, not very good. Not very good at all actually. It is a mess of a film with plot holes so large it’s laughable. None of the story makes sense in retrospect.
The ‘Tethered’ are the most unfathomable characters I have seen in a horror film for the past…
So, Raiders of the Lost Ark. First approaching this film, I was incredibly intrigued in the character of Indiana Jones. Evidently, an important character of cinema. But man was I disappointed. Raiders of the Lost Ark contains mundane, unlikable characters, a tremendously weak villain, and (in my opinion) a pretty mediocre production altogether.
What a lovely, lovely film.
Pixars "Inside Out" tugs at the heartstrings in more instances than one; a particular trait this studio has infamously achieved since 1995 with "Toy Story".
I absolutely adore this film and it is with great pleasure to introduce this wee flick into the list of my favourite animated features. Of all time, I'll have you..
