    “Some Random Behind-The-Scenes Details About GOBY”:

    ~ I filmed this while we were house/dog-sitting for some friends for a month in Washington. Still can’t believe we were able to do it. They had an espresso machine and everything.

    Decidedly more realist than surrealist at its core than I expected from the premise despite the dreamy stylistic flourishes—which was maybe disappointing for me—but also more tragic (though not sure if exactly “cynical”) than I feared it would be from its romantic beginning—which was very relieving for me having come in not really knowing anything about it.

    Definitely made its way into the “movies i can’t believe exist but i’m so glad they do” canon.👍🏼

    (Still probably gonna add it to some of my surrealism list just for the concept itself and the way it was portrayed stylistically.)
