mattheweg’s review published on Letterboxd:
Consciously shameless and miserable. You or I may hate specific movies more but this is unquestionably one of the five or ten objectively worst films with a spine number, though it makes sense that it is included in this box. The use of doubles is nothing short of offensive and personally insulting to Bruce Lee, the use of his funeral is one of the most morally repugnant dramatic choices I can think of in a mainstream movie. That the film feels very aware of how poor of a decision it was to make this movie - to the point where it seems to call attention to the production challenges involved rather than attempt to hide them - does not excuse the act. This is a historical curiosity but even then remains hardly worth the time.
Incidentally, this essay is spectacular.
