Grew up watching this at an early age with my grandparents, giving some warm memories for a movie so grim. There's some similarities to Night of the Living Dead which played a big role for me growing up and I saw this not long after.

Vincent Price is bomb as always. Living a lonely life of desolation fighting vampire-like zombies which is the coolest aspect of this.

I can see this being a little bit of a dry watch but I'm partial to it and love the oozing atmosphere. What's a better time to watch it than during our world's Corona crisis?

I watched this for the first time a week ago. It's been on my mind since and I got drunk as fuck tonight and felt the need to replay. Flash Gordon is perfect. I'm crying from how good it is. Read my first review for something more "professional" but I love Flash Gordon so much.

Hearing Iron Maiden's "Flash of the Blade" while seeing a flash of a blade was greatly satisfying.

Standard Argento fanfare to be found here. His incredible scores, beautiful lighting, and that climax was something else. Absolutely wild.

I always wrote this one off because it wasn't horror and I had zero interest in seeing a non-horror Carpenter flick. Luckily I broke down after finding a copy of this mega cheap and ended up loving every second of this goofy cheese fest! There are somehow still plenty of monsters in this kung fu piece possibly even some of Carpenter's best designed.

I do regret doubting the Carpenter, just proves furthermore to never doubt the master of horror.
