As Marvel seems to be getting worse at these things with each successive entry, I can only assume that at some point during their looming Phase 4 they'll just give up and release a movie that simply cycles through narrated still images. It'll make a billion dollars, no doubt, and—despite the chance to really knuckle down and hone their craft—it'll also be worse than this spectacular failure of imagination, this interstellar nothing, this... fuck it, who cares? It's bad, but what's new?
