Matt Miller’s review published on Letterboxd:
I came for the killer shark, I stayed for the hang out vibes, the free spirited sexuality and the homoerotic undertones. Honestly a little more coherent and well filmed than your usual mexican exploitation of the era. I would have liked some more killer shark action but there are one or two scenes that make up for it in viciousness. It still feels a little restrained in that sense because of the low budget but you really have to appreciate that they used entirely real shark footage for the scenes and made it work. Be warned for real violence against animals, it's very prominent and very off putting.
