absolutely heartbreaking, hilarious, and profound. one of the most emotionally resonant films of the year, and without a doubt some of the best child performances ever. stunning cinematography and excellent commentary on class and crime. what TANGERINE did for trans prostitutes, THE FLORIDA PROJECT does for impoverished florida children (and then prostitutes again). nonetheless, sean baker is eternal.
