I'm sure that I will write more about this movie. There are so many metaphors and comparisons. The visuals are electrifying and we go from scenes that look straight out of a Hayao Miyazaki film to an attack that makes the famous scene from "The Revenant" look tame. There is body horror that would make David Cronenberg proud and science fiction that reminds me of a young Ridley Scott. If "Ex Machina" wasn't enough, Alex Garland is a serious filmmaker to watch.
