Not quite as good as Perks of Being a Wallflower. Good source material, moving story about individuality and the quiet strength that makes those we admire so attractive. Funnier than I expected. I’m surprised that we aren’t seeing the film nominated in the makeup category. Jacob Tremblay’s transformation to Auggie is no less spectacular than Gary Oldman’s Winston Churchill.
It can be a bit too didactic with its multiple narrator approach, but overall it is a great movie for late elementary to middle school kids about the virtues that we all should want to instill in the next generation.
