Just realized this is my first time watching a Spike Lee film (weird I know). A lot of people apparently didn’t understand the musical moments. Neither did I lol, but as someone who doesn’t like musicals usually, I LOVED every bit of them.
Solid film. This was made over 30 years ago and I think a lot of these conversations around colourism and class are still very real.
Fraternity culture is gross to me, but it helped carry a lot of the movie and characters. I was able to get into it after the first 20 mins.
