dang. one of the best Marvel movies in my opinion. the villain was much more complex and compelling than most, and i found myself questioning the 'hero' at times which makes for an emotionally compelling and interesting film. also Shuri is my new fave.
idk, maybe i was just expecting too much of this film? it was a lot simpler than i thought it would be, which isn't bad by any means — especially because it does everything it's trying to do very well. but the characters fell a little flat for me and that made it hard to fully connect with the story. visually: super strong. sally hawkins did so well with the material, but i wish we had gotten a bit deeper with her character. not my favorite but still a solid film.
