I wish the trailers hadn't given away so much of the stronger bits but the film still proved to be enjoyable for me. Not Seth's best but not his worst either (Cleveland Show).

A fun trip down memory lane. I loved Marry Poppins as a kid and it was interesting to see how this film came to be in the first place. Colin Ferrel is definitely the unsung hero here. Seriously the guy needs to be working more if he can deliver this kind of performance consistently. Tom Hanks is enjoyable as Walt and Emma Thompson is both agitating and delightful to watch as she professes from a wounded woman into a whole person who can connect with her world again.
