  • Cube

Let down by some incredibly crappy CGI and some hammy acting, Cube still manages to be incredibly engaging, even if it doesn't quite make sense.

So bad it's good. It's an 80s ode to capitalism that has aged as well as champagne served in a shoe.

    Call Me by Your Name

This coming of age story feels a little anemic when it comes in the same year that gave us Ladybird.  Call Me By Your Name is a well made, but rambling movie that could have stood to lose 30 minutes.

    Best F(r)iends: Volume One

Without having seen Vol 2, it's a little hard to say how successful this film is. The film is a surreal experience that feels like a 90s direct to video movie. There are some extremely amateurish elements, like the music being mixed in way too loud in relation to the dialogue. The film still feels like a workprint in many respects.

I was mostly entertained. Tommy certain brings his trademark personality to the table.
