Let down by some incredibly crappy CGI and some hammy acting, Cube still manages to be incredibly engaging, even if it doesn't quite make sense.
Without having seen Vol 2, it's a little hard to say how successful this film is. The film is a surreal experience that feels like a 90s direct to video movie. There are some extremely amateurish elements, like the music being mixed in way too loud in relation to the dialogue. The film still feels like a workprint in many respects.
I was mostly entertained. Tommy certain brings his trademark personality to the table.
